Overview
An event dedicated to words, freestyle, and live music, where creativity and improvisation become opportunities for connection and participation.
On May 22 from 7:00 PM, the event Free Solo – Voices from Below will take place at the San Firenze Complex (Piazza San Firenze 5): an evening dedicated to spoken word, freestyle, and live music, where creativity and improvisation become moments of connection and shared participation.
Free Solo – Voices from Below was created within ABF Globalab, a program by the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, as the closing event of the workshop The Art of Improvising in Rhyme: a practical and immersive experience designed to introduce participants to the world of freestyle and allow them to experiment firsthand with the art of improvisation.
Starting at 9:00 PM, there will also be a solo live performance by Davide Shorty, opened by the workshop participants.
Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in writing and performance exercises, focusing on rhythm, timing, rhyme construction, rhetorical devices, language, and stage presence, in a journey based on direct experience and collaboration.
The event, open to the public, will be an opportunity to showcase the work developed during the workshop and to enjoy an evening of live performances and freestyle together.
Free admission with mandatory registration.
