Locandina evento

Cosmogonia is an exhibition and workshop project on contemporary languages for young creatives, promoted by ABF Globalab and Start.

Cosmogonia explores the theme of origin through a dialogue between contemporary art, historical architecture and soundscape. The title of the exhibition, curated by GianGuido Maria Grassi – Start Attitude, refers to the birth of the Universe, but also to the inner processes of transformation and knowledge. In the Oratory of the San Firenze Complex, now the Music Room, the exhibition follows the verticality of the Baroque structure: an ascending geometry that directs the gaze towards the sky, configuring the place as a space for meditation and renewal.

The works of 108, MUZ and Moneyless, accompanied by the sound intervention of Demetrio Cecchitelli, compose a single immersive installation in which matter, light, sign and sound combine to create a total experience. Each intervention interprets a phase of the cosmos: rooting in the ground, the formation of new architectures, the emergence of celestial structures and sound vibrations that traverse space like waves of a perceptual gravitational field.

This reflection is amplified during the period in which the exhibition takes place: between December and January, during the winter solstice, a time of maximum darkness and simultaneous promise of light. The ancient Romans celebrated this transition with the festival of Sol Invictus, a symbol of rebirth that coincides with our Christmas. Cosmogonia reactivates this ritual threshold: a suspended moment in time when what dies is regenerated, what is silent begins again, what is hidden re-emerges.

The ‘Cosmogonia’ exhibition reflects ABF Globalab’s journey in supporting young people in building their identity and personal skills.
