San Firenze Committee

A space where young people design change.

Some members of the San Firenze Committee

The San Firenze Committee brings together young people who have already participated in ABF Globalab pathways and choose to continue their engagement through practices of active citizenship and bottom-up co-design.

We live in a complex society shaped by rapid transformations.
Educating today means fostering individuals capable of choosing, taking a position and acting responsibly.

Within the Committee, education for choice becomes a concrete practice:
young people analyse context, engage in dialogue, design projects and assume responsibility, transforming transversal competences into public action.

Training that becomes action

The Committee operates within the New spaces dedicated to ABF Globalab in the San Firenze Complex, where education and cultural production are structurally integrated.

Cultural events, exhibitions, screenings and public encounters are not top-down initiatives, but the outcome of collaborative pathways.

The event becomes an educational device: a real space where young people design, organise and engage with the community.

Acting in the world

Global citizenship is not an abstract concept.
It is the capacity to act locally while engaging with environmental, social and democratic challenges — transforming competences into choices, and choices into action.

Here, the voice belongs to young people.
The educational team guides and supports them, without taking their place.
